This item comes shipped flat, but it's Oh, so easy to assemble! Just line up the two leg sections and place the tabletop on them, add 4 wing nuts, and you're finished! Of course, I sprayed all pieces with flat black Rustoleum paint before assembling so as to extend their lifespan.

Overall, this was the easiest assemble-it-yourself item I've ever put together. I'm a 68-year-old woman; if I can do it, so can you.

The table, itself, is fine. It made it through delivery even though the box was pretty much destroyed by the time both made it to my front porch. Everything went together easily.

However, the opening in the base--the part an umbrella pole needs to fit through--is much too small for metal umbrella poles.
