This iMac takes up minimal desk space, has absolutely no wires (except power), yet still has really rocking specs. I setup Boot Camp, so that I can dual-boot to either Windows or MacOS (because I need to be able to run some Windows-specific software for work). Running Windows on this machine is like watching a non-HD channel on an HD TV, though...as soon as I boot to Windows, I look forward to booting back to MacOS. MacOS has the stability of Unix/Linux, but with a GUI that's more crisp and fresh than Windows.
The hardware is an excellent product. They do make a 27" model, too, which seems better, at least on paper. But that big of a screen on my desk would look ridiculous. This 21" looks a little large on my desk, but the look works, because the iMac's appearance is so simple and clean.
This is the first Apple computer that I have ever owned (or used), and now that I own one, I can't think of a single reason that I would want to own any other computer (except to save money, obviously). If you want a better "bang-for-your-buck", go buy a Dell or an HP, because they have dozens of cheap PCs under $1000. But if you want something that you're really proud of and look forward to using everyday, then go buy this iMac.

This is the 4th iMac I've owned over the years, and each iteration keeps getting better and better. I do video editing on it and render times with the i5 chip are very fast. Build quality as always is excellent. Wish it had two FW800 ports, and maybe a usb port or two on the sides...was hoping one of these days they'll move the SD slot far far away from the DVD slot (had a close call or two with that on my previous iMac). Thank you Steve and Team Apple.

I had been holding on to my PC's for budgetary reasons. We tried this desktop at the Apple store and I schemed a way to be able to afford it. It is my Christmas, birthday and Valentine's day gift.
This machine rounds out my iPhone, iPad and now iMac home computing solution. The machine is fast, convenient (no long boot times), no virus problems and beautifully designed.
The shipping was free. It set up in about ten minutes. I logged in with my iTunes account and the registration was complete. Boom. Up and running. I am very happy with this purchase. (So is my wife and my high school senior).
