If you already have nicely shaped brows that behave well, then this product will probably give you the extra oomph to go from good to great.
If, however, you need any help with the shape of your brows, or if they are even slightly unruly, then this probably won't help you much.
First off, the gel has virtually no holding power. My brows do not like staying where I put them, and this gel lasts about as long as it takes me to walk from my bathroom to the front door. I still have to use clear mascara to hold them in place. The gel does nothing.
Also, I thought the brush comes off pretty heavy-handed. It's wide and thick, and doesn't allow you to create any precision or to taper the end of your brows well.
Don't expect any help with shaping your brow, either. No guide or tips are provided.
And, as everyone else says, it's very dark. If you are even slightly unsure which color to order, get the lighter one.
In short, if you aren't already pretty darned happy with your brows, this will not get you there.

....whether God given or from the bottle, you know it can be challenging to find a brow color that looks natural. Six years ago when I discovered this auburn kit by B. M, my troubles were over! It's a wee bit dark for the very lightest of red or strawberry blondes, but for all other shades of deeper red, this stuff is perfect. It shapes nicely; I have tweezed brows that grow very naturally thick at the start and the arch, but that taper into puny-ness by the time they reach the end of the brow bone. So I have to basically 'draw on' the last quarter of an inch. Other products, and I was a Benefit girl previously, gave me an obvious crayoned look and it looked ridiculous. Brows should highlight the eyes, not be the temperamental star of the show. But this kit allows me to fake it till I make it and produce a truly remarkable taper. The formula really does mimic hair. The brush does a nice job and the gel, while not essential, sets nicely. Note that the gel will run out way before the minerals will....because the itty bittiest jar of this lasts FOREVER, years. I experimented with the harder to find 'Redhead' color by B.M., but it simply was too red. But mixed together with Auburn, if you're super super picky about matching your red hair color perfectly, you'll get awesome results. I usually am too lazy to mess with that; Auburn alone is all I need.
